My experience here was excellent. We ordered several items: fried chicken, cheese eggs and French toast ( Highly Recommend), shrimp and grits plus 2 sides of fish, beef sausage, chicken sausage and breakfast potatoes! The pineapple pink lemonade was amazing. The customer service, knowledge of menu items and great recommendations was refreshing. I felt at home here and the food was delicious. I like my grits a touch more dense and not too runny but it worked well the potatoes, shrimp and fish! The chef was smiling and happy, friendly ( spoke to us as the employees welcomed us in) we were checked on and asked about our experience. I’m so happy we stopped in and skipped the hotel breakfast. These meal reminded me of weekends at my mother in law house with all our family. Even though it wasn’t crowed when we patronized it, it felt full of love and family!

We were looking for a new, local breakfast place to try while we were on Macon. By the time we arrived, the lunch buffet had been put out. I ordered oxtails, rice, greens, Mac n cheese... Excellent!! The portions were huge, and nothing tasted like it was made with a short cut. Good soul food restaurants are hard to find, and this one is very good! The only suggestion I have is that it would be helpful if the cooks would feature two or three vegetarian vegetable sides. That said, we found the staff friendly, and accommodating. Nice people; great cooks!!

This is the first time my husband and I come here and not only the music was great but the service was wonderful. The staff is was friendly and I honestly felt like at home. I had the Vanilla Bean French toasts and it was just perfect. The simplicity of it made it all even better.

This is the place with the best breakfast sandwiches in town hands down. I haven't tried anything i haven't loved. Shrimp and grits... and the vanilla bean French toast. Excellent service. Can't wait to go Sunday and try the dinners. 10/10

I love Mother's breakfast and bbq. They have one of the best breakfast options in Macon. They even do brunch on Saturday until 3. They also have good soul food and good BBQ plates. And the pricing is really reasonable. When I went for breakfast last, I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side of scrambled eggs and pancakes. Delicious!!!!

Has to be the best place to eat in Macon. I should have been left this review. If you love good comfort food and service run to this place. My wife lovvvvvvvvvvved the peach cobbler.

I went here for the first time today and I LOVED everything I ordered. The shrimp and grits & vanilla Bean French toast is bomb! The grits were so creamy ! Also, I got lunch for later which included ribs, mac & cheese, and the baked beans and the mac & cheese and baked beans were so good. Nice folks too! I definitely will be coming back.
